In many industries and professions, online 'mall locations' or 'service directories' are common. As well, many specialized vendors will create a template for affiliates. A good example would be FTD, the worldwide floral delivery company.

Florists, creating a web page using the FTD templates, would all have sites being nearly identical in appearance, with perhaps only the businesses' name, address, phone number and hours of operation customized. Our directory users could just as easily have browsed their directory as ours: in such cases we would have only added another layer of confusion. In these instances, DirectoryNH.com creates a link to the 'mall', not individual NH sites within the 'mall'.
