NH has very varied topography and a very independent spirit. It's reflected in our recreation. Here is a list of some of the more unusual offerings.
Fire a Machine Gun - At Manchester Firing Line Range, located in Manchester, you can rent and fire several models of machine guns in complete safety.
Ride A Snow Coach - Winter brings a whole new set of sights and sounds to the White Mountains and you can see it over 4 miles up the road in a specially constructed all-wheel drive 4-track system coach.
Learn to Hang Glide or Paraglide - At Morningside Flight Park, you can truly learn to let your spirit soar.
Go White Water Rafting - Rally in Gorham, come back thrilled and exhausted.
Test Your Metal - Go ice climbing, rock climbing, or mountaineering in NH's White Mountains.
Fly in a Biplane - Enjoy the exhilaration of flying in a classic open cockpit biplane, with the sun on your face, the warm breezes in your hair, and the rumble of the radial engine. Don't like the open air? Try a helicopter ride here.
Go Indoor Skydiving - A state of the art indoor vertical wind tunnel where you can experience the freedom of flight. There is no falling sensation, you just float above the trampoline floor with ease.
Take a Railroad to the Top of a Mountain - Ride the world's first cog mountain climbing train, to the top of Mount Washington - the highest peak in New England!
Drive to the Top of a Mountain - There are three choice: drive right to the summit at Miller State Park,
or walk a very short way to Mount Washington State Park
having taken the Mt. Washington Auto Road, or drive almost to the summit, and hike the last half-mile on your choice of trails to the
top of Mt. Kearsarge via the auto road in Rollins State Park.
