This page is all about the main street shopping experience. 100 Years ago, main street was 'the' place in town. Today, not so much.

The following communities have a strong retail center, i.e. shops and restaurants, and would be good for a lazy afternoon. Most NH downtowns more or less follow a 'business day' schedule and are listed by population.
